There are two types
• Plain dogs – Shorter coat
• Mountain dogs – heavier coat

Coat Colors:
Gray, Fawn, Tan, Pied, Brindle and White.

Life span:
10 - 11 years.

Health Issues:
The Caucasian shepherd is generally healthy.

The Caucasian Shepherd Dog is brave, strong and alert. Has a strong urge to protect the family, property and even household pets. It is considered the most aggressive breed, so they have had problems with strangers.

The Caucasian Dog can develop trends which might be hard to handle , so his master has to be a strong person who can be the leader. You must have patience and plenty of time to socialize and train him properly so that he behaves as expected of him.

The Caucasian Dog is not a dog for apartment living and is highly recommended for families who have a great patio, where there may be no limits for the dog to walk and exercise freely.
